Roniu's Tale is a new original game for the NES. Our goal is to deliver on our love for the 8-bit era, and we need your help to bring our vision to life!
The plan is to finish this game and release it as a gorgeous physical edition complete with cart, box, and manual, offering the best quality possible to retro lovers.
The game will be delivered in a multi-region cartridge compatible with any NES (PAL, NTSC and NTSC-J) console versions I and II.

Mini Update: Fixes, Wizards and Figurines!

What up, Wizards!
It's time for another Roniu's Tale mini update! Last we checked in, the final beta was in the hands of our testers and we were combing through your feedback for ways to keep improving the game. We heard two issues clear across the board: the hitbox/collision and timing issues.
In earlier builds, enemy hitboxes were incredibly unforgiving. While we aim to provide a hearty challenge, in the game's previous versions players would die stepping on an enemy's last tile even if most of their body was already on the next. This issue can now be classified as RESOLVED. We have also remedied the timing issues in World 4 affecting the exiting of the treadmill platforms. You will still need to hit that sweet spot, but we've made adjustments to ensure balanced gameplay.
There are still a few more t's to cross and i's to dot, but we are excited to be in the final rounds of reviews!

Isn't He Handsome!
That's right, baby! Roniu's here in all his 3D-printed glory. These bad boys are finally at the office waiting to be packaged up and make their way to their new home: with you! Monday or Tuesday of this coming week, we should have the final edit of our game manuals, and our OST Vinyl samples should be arriving within a few weeks, barring further supply chain issues. All in all, we are well on our way to RR - Day ( Roniu's Release Date).

Hey there fellow magicians,
We've got a great mini update for you this week: Roniu's Tale has entered FINAL BETA! That's right folks, this is the last round before release to make sure everything about the game is *just* right, so we want to give out a huge shout-out to our testers and everyone who has supported us on the journey so far!

Rewards
The good news doesn't stop there either, most of the rewards have been received at the office or are on their way! We are still waiting for the Vinyl OST, Figurines, and final touches on the manuals, but everything from stickers to pins and even the comic books are waiting to make their way home to you. With a little bit of luck - we will be announcing our release date soon!

Hey there magical friends,
A little ghost told us you were eager for updates and we are here to deliver! The team has been hard at work on the Final Beta so it's going to be a short one this time but read along to get your Roniu's Tale fix!
Waiting On Pins and Needles!
As time draws closer, we've been testing out the current build on unique hardware but lo and behold, we've encountered a bug to fix. Never fear, Valdir is on the case and we're hoping to have a new ROM for our testers this week.
What's going with the rewards you ask? We've just finalized the look for the Roniu's Tale pin badges and have sent in the final edits to the artbook! We are looking at 2-3 weeks to receive the Manga as well. We'll have some mockups to share with you on our next update!

In other Roniu news, the full script for the manga is in. All that's left to do is dot the I's, cross the T's, and send it off to the printers! We've also been tweaking the badge designs as well as finalizing the artbook images. We do still have a few more bugs to iron out, and of course, finish adding in our Backer Pixel Characters to the credits but the full game is so close: we can taste it! Good News Magical Amigos!
The backerkit for Roniu's Tale is now live for everyone! That's right, all of our backers should have survey links in their emails (be sure to check spam folders!).
You don't need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. Just click on the survey link in your email, fill it out, and ta-da: you're good to go! You'll also be able to up your pledge if you'd like (or include a sweet sweet, add-on, or two)!
