Incoming Transmission: The Wizard Has Landed 

Agent 1: Area secure?

Agent 2: Clear! 

Agent 3:  [ grabs your shoulder while looking you in the eye] You might want to sit down for this.

Agent 1: We've just received word, the Wizard has landed!

Agent 1: This morning, we received an intelligence report from DHL. Sergeant, fill him in.

Agent 2: Yes, sir, at about 1100 hours, a transmission was received that the package was inbound. Our team secured it without incident. We're locked, loaded and ready to roll. 

Agent 1: What about the  Kickstarter agents?

Agent 2: In position, waiting on confirmation of  their airdrop location. 

Agent 3: And what about the magic?

Agent 1 & 2 : It's arrived!

Oh Yeah! The Time is NOW

This is it folks, we officially have the last missing piece: the updated Evercade cartridges!!  We're ready to ship, and want to confirm shipping addresses for all backers. If you'd like to update you shipping address differently from the address you entered, please email [email protected]!

Where's Roniu?

Friends: I know, I know - last we spoke I was excitedly telling you how we were getting everything packed up and ready to ship, but here we are and there's no Roniu in sight. What gives?

You guys might remember our Evercade tier.  While not everyone requested one, we do have a sizeable chunk of backers who are expecting one in their package.  We are still waiting for those to arrive but we've been told it should be very soon! In the spirit of fairness, we've held off until all parts of everyone's orders arrive. A few of you guys have asked about options and I'll be talking with the team to see what we can do!

Ninja Edit:  This is what Nick had to say this morning: 

" We did discuss split shipping everyone, or refunding the Evercade cartridge portion, but it felt disingenuous for all of the folks who backed us at the Evercade tier. We're confident that they'll be sending us the cartridges soon, but if we don't receive them for some reason in the next 10 days, we don't mind providing more options for backers to get Ronius in their hands!"

Rubbing shoulders with the folks of Manganga Team and Jam.GG among many others, they got to share the magic of Roniu's Tale with fans, colleagues and the press! Wishing you had attended? It's Here!

The vinyl has arrived! That's right, folks. Just about everything is ready to ship. With the arrival of the LPs and manual, we are just about ready to ship. The final pieces we are waiting on are the Limited Edition cartridges, which should be arriving sometime next week!

That means we've already got Nick working on packing up the orders! Once everything is in, we will give you guys a two-week notice in case you need to update your shipping address. Yay!

The Latest in Wizard News

Hey Everyone, 

Fantastic news - the devs received the hard copies to test the final ROM last month, and it was approved! Of course, the commercial version of this bad boy will be a black shell, but this was an essential final step in the process. We had already begun assembly of the regular edition, but with this approval, we were able to start finalizing the limited edition cartridges as well.

The only other thing we are still waiting on is the vinyl records. Unfortunately, our supplier had massive supply chain interruptions due to current events and a recent machine press going down. This has already been resolved! Word is we should be expecting the shipment of OST records by the end of the month! 

Itching To Play?

While we still have a tiny wait before fulfillment, we completely understand your need to get your game on!  Our friends at 8 Bit Legit, a pixel partnership between Mega Cat Studios and Retrotainment Games, have released Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril on Xbox today! 

This tough-as-nails platformer will challenge even the best retro gamers, as Jordan Ordorica, developer and creator of Sivak Games, set a new benchmark with this homebrew indie hit. Now it is time for you to experience this historic game. Get the game on Xbox here!

I Heard You Guys Wanted Some Updates!

Another Mini Update, Y'all!

*Drumroll, please* PHYSICAL HARDWARE TESTING IS NEAR COMPLETION! That is right, folks, we are so incredibly close to the finish line, and once the final rom is approved, we can begin the Limited Edition cart production! We've also sent out the last batch of gold physicals to our influencers! Did I mention the snazzy LE Boxes and vinyl samples have also arrived at the office? All the rewards are in-house and ready to go!

Magical Fixer Upper

So what's left?   With the final countdown upon us, our focus is on ensuring the bolts are tightened and the security screws are being fastened perfectly on the final "ready to ship" copies of the game. Timing, balancing, difficulty, collision improvements - we're checking and re-checking everything to ensure the PERFECT Roniu's Tale experience for you guys.

We've also discovered and defeated a few funky bugs, like the world eight passcode misplacing your orbs, a weird one where killing a boss would kill Roniu instead, and my favorite: the end screen just... never... ending 😂. Finding ways to try to break the game was fun, but I'm happy to announce that you can count those pesky critters as RESOLVED. Of course, we still have some final approvals to make, and we're keeping an eye out for any other creepy crawlers, but we're pretty pleased with the current progress!
